SPECIAL AWARDS
Award of Honour (presented to a member in the industry who has made a significant contribution to the industry in SA):
This prestigious award went to Jeffrey Bowden, owner of The Conservatory, a retail garden centre on Unley Road at Unley. He was recognised for his 45 years in the industry, with a garden centre that led the way in presentation and cross merchandising in South Australia.
Doug Smart Award of Merit (presented to a non-member who has made a significant contribution to the industry in SA):
This award went to Rebecca Mumford from Greenhill Living, who conducts programs in kindergartens and early school years to introduce children to the joys and wonder of gardening and ‘growing your own’.

Alastair McLean from Power Plants. The SA representative for this equipment supplier to growers, Alastair is President of the Next Gen SA group. He was recognised for his work in engaging other young leaders of the future to participate in the group.

LIFE MEMBERSHIP OF NGISA
This is bestowed on individuals within the industry and is decided by the NGISA Board on the basis of service not only to the industry but to the association.
In 2019, Life Membership was awarded to Graham Brown, State Manager of Garden City Plastics and former President of NGISA.
