Nursery & Garden Industry of South Australia was formed in 1908 as the SA Association of Nurserymen and Seedsmen and has been recognised as the peak industry body for amenity horticulture in South Australia since those times.

NGISA Mission Statement

The NGISA Inc is a not for profit Association that aims to provide the Nursery and Garden Industry in South Australia with professional leadership, technical advice, relevant training and encourage the profitability of our members.

NGISA Code of Ethics

The Nursery & Garden Industry SA Inc (NGISA) operates under a strict code of ethics and requires its members to:

  • Support the Nursery Industry in a conscientious and honourable manner
  • Respect other members and the public with conduct that is neither discriminatory nor prejudicial
  • Perform business dealings to accepted professional and technical standards within the Industry.
  • Compliance with the Trade Practices Act.
  • Adhere to relevant legislation regarding equal opportunity and sexual harassment

Greenlife Industry Australia (GIA)

Formerly Nursery & Garden Industry Australia, Greenlife Industry Australia (GIA) represents all of industry on key national issues, including Water, Bio-Security, Chemicals, Invasive plants, Standards for media, Health and Safety, Accreditation and Federal political submissions and Awards.

GIA is the industry’s representative for: matters relating to the Nursery Industry Levy; on submissions to the Federal Government and to ensure all Federal politicians are aware of issues affecting the Industry.

It is a member of Plant Health Australia (PHA). GIA maintains the National Trade Register throughout Australia each year. This is a comprehensive listing of members of State NGI associations.

Membership
